Visitors to the Italian Trade Agency’s Pavilion at the Speciality Food Festival can explore authentic, Italian food experiences in three dedicated zones – The Food Lab, Breakfast Made in Italy and Meet the Exhibitors – over the next three days.
The Italian Trade Agency’s Pavilion, which is showcasing around 40 Italian companies from today until Thursday 1 November at the Dubai World Trade Centre, was officially opened this morning by Liborio Stellino, Italian Ambassador to the UAE and Gianpaolo Bruno, Italian Trade Commissioner to the UAE, Oman and Pakistan.
Visitors to The Food Lab can see cooking shows and demonstrations across the three days with resident and visiting chefs re-creating famous Italian dishes. Don’t miss the one-day seminar on the business opportunities in the local food market on Wednesday 31 October at 10:30am.
Stop by the Breakfast Made in Italy zone to experience the authentic ‘colazione’, the Italian breakfast, tasting all the essential ingredients, including a frothy cappuccino and delicious sweet croissants. Italian firms and food producers together with CNA (National Confederation of Craft Industries and Small-Medium Enterprises) will be showcasing all the ingredients and equipment essential to making a traditional Italian Breakfast.

ITA’s participation in the Speciality Food Festival is part of the Week of the Italian Cuisine in the World, which is taking place in the UAE for the third year in a row. A number of events and activities are being hosted during this extended celebration that started on 25 October lasting for one month until 25 November, to profile the growing number of Italian producers successfully exporting their authentic Italian ingredients to the UAE.
The Speciality Food Festival is the gourmet and artisan food event for the Middle East, Africa and South Asia and is back in 2018 for the 9th edition. During the exhibition visitors can source fine foods, witness leading edge cooking techniques, international flavours and modern preparation methods.
