ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA hits new heights in Hong Kong

More than 14,000 trade visitors meet with some 760 exhibitors from 43 different countries and regions at most international edition yet

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA underlined its status as the premier global trade platform for Asia’s fresh fruit and vegetable business on 3-5 September 2025 in Hong Kong featuring even stronger international participation.

“We are thrilled with the success of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA 2025. The engagement over the three days from our exhibitors, trade visitors, and top-tier industry figures from all over the world has been phenomenal,” said David Axiotis, managing director of Global Produce Events, the organiser of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA.

“The level of innovation, quality of networking, and the sheer volume of new business opportunities forged here have exceeded all expectations. It is a testament to the resilience and vibrancy of the fresh produce sector, and it is inspiring to see the industry unite to forge the path for the future of trade in Asia.”

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA featured some 26 national or regional pavilions this year showcasing a wide range of innovations, including first-time pavilions from Japan, Israel and Armenia. In addition, Peru was named as the Official Partner Country for this year’s event.

China was the single-largest exhibiting country at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA again this year. Also in the top five exhibiting countries were the US, Australia, Egypt and New Zealand.

New for this year, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA featured the First Timer Pavilion. Offering a high-visibility platform for businesses making their debut at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA, the First Timer Pavilion showcased nine companies from seven different countries.

Welcome Evening

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA kicked off with the Welcome Evening on 2 September at the Rosewood Hotel – co-hosted with official wholesale market partners – Guangzhou Jiangnan Agricultural Group and Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market – and Knowledge Partner Asiafruit Magazine. The invitation-only event brought together more than 800 top industry professionals for an entertaining evening of networking taking in breathtaking views of Hong Kong’s iconic harbour.

Top buyers take part

With a packed-out trade show floor, ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA exhibitors and visitors made the most of the opportunities to meet and do business.
Business and networking opportunities were further enhanced this year with the return of the Retailer’s Club and Premium Buyers programme. More than 300 top retail buyers and 800 premium buyers took part, enjoying exclusive services including a dedicated lounge, speed-dating, meeting spaces and curated matchmaking. Altogether, more than 100 speed-dating meetings took place over the three days of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA.

Expert insights at ASIAFRUIT KNOWLEDGE CENTRE

Exhibitors and visitors were also able to access leading-edge information and insights at ASIAFRUIT KNOWLEDGE CENTRE, the dynamic content hub on the trade show floor.

Powered by Asiafruit Magazine, ASIAFRUIT KNOWLEDGE CENTRE featured three different content streams: Asiafruit Congress, Asiafruit Business Forum, and Asiafruit Showcase.

Over a packed three-day programme, more than 50 expert speakers provided visitors with an unrivalled combination of strategic insights and practical takeaways to help grow their business.

To mark the 30th anniversary of Asiafruit Magazine, Asiafruit Congress opened with a high-powered panel discussion looking at how Asia’s fresh produce market has evolved over the past three decades, and where it’s heading next. Speakers included Konna Mu (Joy Wing Mau Group), Marc Evrard (Belgian Fruit Valley), Felipe Casanova (Copefrut) and Steve Quinn (Pivit Global).

Asiafruit Business Forum included practical, expert-led sessions on marketing, tech, logistics, and more. Unifrutti Japan’s Kennard Wong and Goodfarmer’s Eric Zheng unpacked the latest trends in Asia’s banana trade, while Ashwin Pillay of RedFern Digital was joined by Rockit Global’s Julian Smith to discuss South-East Asia’s fast-evolving digital marketing landscape.

At Asiafruit Showcase, exhibitors presented fresh produce innovations for business in Asia. Rijk Zwaan’s Friso Klok and Novianto outlined melon assortment and developments for the South-East Asian market. Alfred Tew (IBA Industrial Asia Pacific) discussed the benefits of irradiation food treatment technology, and Copeland’s Kunnida Ponesatitpong explained how data can ‘supercharge’ cold chain resilience.

New forums spotlight fast-expanding sectors

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA also featured two brand-new forums this year: the Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum and the Nuts & Dried Fruit Forum, giving visitors direct access to expert insights and new business opportunities in these fast-growing sectors.

The Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum on Day One included expert perspectives from Top Fruits’ Tan Sue Yee, Fabian Garcia of Calavo, Promperú’s Bernardo Muñoz and Ivy Wang of Oxford Frozen Foods.
Leading global suppliers shared their insights at the Nuts & Dried Fruit Forum on Day Two, including Pamela Graviet of the California Walnut Commission & Board and José Tomás Contador of Chile Almonds.

ASIA FRUIT AWARDS: winners announced

The ASIA FRUIT AWARDS 2025 winners were announced in a special presentation ceremony on 4 September at Asiafruit Congress.

Dole China won the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award for its Dole Banana 125th Anniversary campaign.
Leading Thai importer-distributor City Fresh Fruit took home the Importer of the Year Award.
The Produce Retailer of the Year Award went to Central Retail Vietnam, the leading foreign-owned multiformat food retailer in Vietnam.

The Impact Award was presented to Rijk Zwaan recognising the seed company’s investments in Asia to develop tailored products and solutions that benefit the fresh produce supply chain and wider agricultural communities.

Statistics Handbook launch

Visitors to ASIAFRUIT KNOWLEDGE CENTRE were also able to pick up the first copies of the Asiafruit Statistics Handbook 2025. The annual statistical guide to Asia’s fresh fruit and vegetables is produced by Fruitnet and features expert analysis of all the latest trends in trade across 12 different markets.

Sustainability and CSR Initiatives

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA has been working with Feeding Hong Kong , a registered food bank charity organisation in Hong Kong that is dedicated to redistributing surplus food to people in need since 2010. This year is no exception.

Last year, exhibitors donated approximately 8.3 tonnes of surplus fruits and vegetables after ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA to Feeding Hong Kong and thus not going to waste.

Next stop: CHINA MEET UP

Visitors and exhibitors at ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA can now join the CHINA MEET UP, the official China-focused extension of ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA. Taking place on 8-9 September at the Haizhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou, CHINA MEET UP offers a unique opportunity to connect with China’s top decision makers and industry leaders and gain insights into the latest market trends.

Global trade primed for PERU MEET UP

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA’s series of Meet Ups culminates in 2025 with the PERU MEET UP, taking place on 28-29 October in Lima. The brand-new international event – organised in partnership with FRUIT LOGISTICA and Fruitnet – connects Latin America’s fresh produce export trade with key buyers from Asia and around the world. Check out the event agenda, now live on the website.

ASIA FRUIT LOGISTICA returns to Hong Kong next year, taking place on 2-4 September 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo. Registration opens now at www.asiafruitlogistica.com
