Greek food stood out at The Saudi Food Show 2024, the largest food exhibition in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, which was held for the second year at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Center and the attendance exceeded 30,000 people.
The Hellenic Investment and Foreign Trade Company (Enterprise Greece) organized the national stand and, within the framework of the exhibition, had also organized a tasting area for the promotion of Greek gastronomy, visits to supermarket chains, as well as business meetings (b2b) with the largest retailers of the country, with the aim of attracting visitors but also getting to know Greek products.
The companies hosted at the national stand and presented Greek food, of high nutritional value to thousands of trade visitors, were the following: ARISTON HELLAS, ELVAK S.A., KOUKAKIS FARM SA, KOURANTIDIS NIKOLAOS-“REGINA”, LATROVALIS & CO , MEVGAL SA , SELECT BAKERY , STAND BY BELLOS, THEONI S.A.
An important distinction for the company MEVGAL SA, which was awarded for the best Snack among all exhibitors and Mr. Giorgos Vanidis, Export Manager of MEVGAL SA, said: “We consider our participation in the Saudi Food Show very successful. The Saudi Arabian market is rapidly growing and offers opportunities for quality products such as those offered by our company and many other Greek companies. The strategic support of the state to Greek companies through Enterprise Greece in this fair is in the right direction for the further development of Greek exports in the wider Middle East region.”
Referring to the successful Greek presence at The Saudi Food Show 2024, the Managing Director of Enterprise Greece, Dr. Marinos Yiannopoulos, said: “The Saudi Arabian market is of strategic importance for Greece, which is why Enterprise Greece, carefully following the developments in that country, participates and actively supports Greek businesses that wish to develop there. The national participation was honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Greece in Saudi Arabia, Mr. Alexis Konstantopoulos, who stated: “I was happy to visit the Greek stand at the largest food exhibition in Saudi Arabia and I saw firsthand the high quality of Greek products and the extroversion of participating companies. Saudi Arabia is developing rapidly, thanks to the steady implementation of the “Vision 2030″ economic transformation program, creating excellent conditions for the promotion of Greek exports. Greek products are highly valued in the Saudi Arabian market, creating significant opportunities for Greek companies.
