OneAgrix has appointed Shahid N. Khan as Managing Director for the Middle East and South Asia. OneAgrix provides trade infrastructure to verify cross-border product eligibility prior to shipment. Its system evaluates Halal and faith-based certifications, ingredient compliance, labelling, counterparty standing, and corridor viability before goods move.
A UK-qualified executive, Shahid N. Khan brings over 35 years of senior leadership experience across FMCG, food and beverage, retail, and enterprise sectors. In his new role, he will direct commercial strategy and regional engagement across the Middle East and South Asia, working directly alongside company founders.
His career includes an 18-year tenure at Unilever, where he worked in senior leadership positions across several countries in South Asia and the United States. In Pakistan, he is known for the commercial launch of Wall’s Ice Cream.
In 2000, he joined IFFCO Group as Managing Director, Consumer Brands, where he spearheaded the creation and development of London Dairy premium ice cream, and at Alghanim Industries, he led the turnaround and commercial relaunch of its retail electronics business, X-cite. He later held executive leadership roles at Al Homaizi Group, Al-Yaqout Group, and Al-Islami Foods, subsequently serving as a strategic adviser to large regional groups in FMCG and Retail.
The appointment arrives as regional food distribution faces shifting regulatory demands as destination import standards evolve independently of trade logistics. OneAgrix streamlines cross-border trade by verifying product eligibility before cargo moves, so suppliers ensure full regulatory access before shipping and avoid costly cargo rejections at the port.
Diana Sabrain, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of OneAgrix, said:
“Certification documents origin compliance, but verification determines destination readiness. The operational gap between origin paperwork and destination border regulations is precisely where shipments experience delays or rejection. Very few executives grasp this border friction as thoroughly as someone who has managed physical food operations across the Gulf. That operational experience is what Shahid brings to our expansion.”
Shahid N. Khan said:
“Having spent over three decades directing food and FMCG operations across the Middle East and South Asia, I have witnessed how shipments face costly delays at customs when origin documentation fails to match destination rules. OneAgrix resolves this regulatory gap at the point of trade. I look forward to collaborating with the leadership team to broaden our commercial reach and support trade resilience across the region.”
Based in Dubai, Khan will oversee commercial development across the Middle East and South Asia, engaging with regional manufacturers, importers, exporters, and regulatory bodies to strengthen supply chain continuity.
