Roquette Celebrates “Plant Positivity” at IFT 2024: Showcasing ‘Skinny’ Mocktail Mastery and More

Happy black brother and sister giving high-five to each other while having family lunch on Thanksgiving day at home.

Roquette, a global leader in plant-based ingredients, is ‘shaking it up’ at this year’s IFT FIRST: Annual Event & Expo in Chicago, giving attendees a taste of better-for-you beverages that pack a nutritious punch. Highlighting the theme of ‘Plant Positivity’, Roquette will feature its latest ingredient launches and product concepts – including a sugar-free, fibre-enriched Paloma Mocktail and a protein-fortified coconut milk beverage containing its new NUTRALYS® Fava S900M fava bean protein isolate – at the McCormick Place exhibition, July 14-17. Over 17,000 delegates are expected to attend the premier US food and nutrition fair, which presents a prime opportunity for Roquette experts to exchange experiences and showcase the company’s latest developments in food science at booth #2031.

Experience ‘Plant Positivity’

During the three-day event, Roquette is inviting event attendees to experience the power of ‘Plant Positivity’ firsthand at booth #2031. From coconut milk made with its new NUTRALYS® Fava S900M fava bean protein isolate ingredient to creamy protein shakes fortified with NUTRALYS® Pea S854F soluble pea protein, Roquette has cooked up recipes that demonstrate the versatility, quality and ease-of-use of its ingredients – and all concepts are available to taste on the stand.

The star of the show is Roquette’s Paloma Mocktail. On Monday, July 15 (10.30-10.45am) Roquette’s Anke Golde, Head of Customer Technical Services Food & Nutrition Americas, will host a “Taste of Science” session entitled ‘Plant Positivity: High Fiber Happy Hours’, during which they will delve into the science behind the exclusive concept. Made with NUTRIOSE® FM06 soluble fiber from non-GMO corn, the Paloma Mocktail is sugar-free, alcohol-free and rich in dietary fiber. It offers a refreshing taste and smooth texture, highlighting how nutrition and flavor can come together in a trendy, ready-to-mix beverage. Samples of the Paloma Mocktail will also be served during Roquette’s daily ‘mocktail hour’ from 3-5pm at booth #2031.

Harnessing the power of plant-based

Speaking about the event, Golde said: “At Roquette, we believe that plant-based ingredients are key to fostering positive nutrition in a wide array of applications. Our commitment to “Plant Positivity” means leveraging our extensive market knowledge, high-quality ingredients and exceptional application expertise to help food manufacturers and formulators create products that captivate and satisfy.

“For example, our Paloma Mocktail is a light, refreshing beverage that is ready in seconds and showcases NUTRIOSE® FM06 for its excellent solubility, neutrality and smooth texture. It also provides a perfect blend of clean-label convenience, delightful taste and nutritional benefits. IFT 2024 offers visitors a flavor of just how powerful our plant-based ingredients can be and we look forward to collaborating with existing and new customers in crafting innovative solutions that match consumer needs.”
