Thailand is one of the best food providers in the world since it has a wide range of crops, comes up with new ideas, and is dedicated to quality. Thailand is known as the “Kitchen of the World” because it offers everything from its famous Thai Hom Mali Rice to tropical fruits, vegetables, and packaged goods. This makes it a reliable partner in making food security stronger around the world.
At the ceremony, H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the UAE, shared, “This festival is not only about food—it is about people. Thai food tells a story of our culture: colourful, diverse, and welcoming. By sharing our rice, fruits, and other products with the people of the UAE, we are also sharing friendship and building deeper connections between our nations. We are proud to bring a part of Thailand to every home here in the UAE.”
Throughout the festival period, customers can enjoy up to 25% discounts on a wide range of premium Thai fruits and food products across 13 Choithrams outlets in the UAE, including Falcon SM, Al Mahda SM, Al Suroor Superstore, Manhattan Tower SM, The Greens SM, Al Rais SM, Dubai Tower SM, DEC Marina SM, Safa Park SM, Umm Suqeim SM, Green Community SM, and Sharjah Marine SM.
During the inaugural ceremony, guests also got to witness how welcoming Thai people can be when chefs from Little Bangkok, a Thai SELECT-certified restaurant, cooked live. Attendees had the opportunity to sample freshly made Thai food and a delicious spread of Thai fruits. This was a unique opportunity for them to try authentic Thai food and get a sense of Thailand in Dubai.
The Thai Fruits & Food Festival 2025 is more than just a place to shop. It’s a cultural exchange that illustrates how Thailand is a good place to get food and celebrates the close ties between Thailand and the UAE. Thai food is still winning over people in the Emirates because it is unique, high-quality, and traditional.
