Mane Kancor Honoured for Sustainability Initiatives at the International Spice Conference 2026

Mane Kancor, a global pioneer in natural ingredient solutions, is proud to announce that it has been recognised at the ISC Sustainability Awards 2026 for its impactful and scalable sustainability initiatives within the global spice industry.

The International Spice Conference 2026, held in Kochi, India from 23rd Feb to 26th Feb, brought together global leaders, traders, processors, and innovators from across the spice value chain to deliberate on the future of the industry. As one of the most significant gatherings of the global spice community, ISC serves as a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and strategic direction. This year’s edition introduced the ISC Sustainability Awards 2026 to recognise organisations driving measurable environmental and social impact across spice supply chains.

The ISC Sustainability Awards honour organisations that go beyond intent to deliver measurable, verified improvements in environmental and social performance. The awards spotlight initiatives that protect the planet, improve livelihoods, and demonstrate how sustainability can be embedded as a way of life across the spice sector.

Mane Kancor has been recognised for its Mint Sustainability Initiatives, which exemplify environmental stewardship, social responsibility, innovation, and collaborative partnerships. Through long-term farmer empowerment programmes, the company works closely with over 6,000 mint farmers across 550 villages and 6,500 hectares in Uttar Pradesh, building a robust model of sustainable and traceable sourcing.

A cornerstone of this initiative is Mane Kancor’s collaboration with the Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) and the introduction of Early Mint Technology (EMT). This innovation has led to a nearly 30% reduction in irrigation, significant decreases in diesel pump usage leading to a 37% cut in greenhouse gas emissions, and improved crop productivity, directly enhancing farmer incomes.

Mane Kancor’s commitment to social responsibility is reinforced through its Traceability Purchase Record System (TPRS), using geo-tagging of farms monitoring the farming operations, which guarantee full supply chain transparency. The company also guarantees Minimum Support Price (MSP) higher than market rates, fostering fair and stable livelihoods. In addition, upgraded local distillation units equipped with efficient condensers, cooling towers, and stainless-steel separators have improved mint oil extraction yields by 15%, reduced water usage by approximately 50%, and increased incomes for rural entrepreneurs.

Mane Kancor received the second prize at the ISC Sustainability Awards 2026. This recognition reflects Mane Kancor’s belief that sustainability must be practical, scalable, and inclusive, delivering real benefits for farmers, communities, and the environment, while shaping a future-ready spice ecosystem.

The ISC Sustainability Award 2026 was presented by Mr. Donald Pratt (Chief Procurement Officer, McCormick and Company) to Mr. Mathew Jacob (VP – Agri Division, Mane Kancor), Mr. Kamal Rangan (Head of Essential Oils Division, Mane Kancor) and Ms. Karishma Raphael (Senior Marketing Executive, Mane Kancor).
