Silal inaugurates one of UAE’s largest food distribution facilities at KEZAD

Abu Dhabi-based agri-food and technology company Silal has inaugurated one of the largest food distribution facilities in the UAE within Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD).

Equipped with cutting-edge technologies and infrastructure, the 41,000 square metre facility has a capacity of more than 36,800 pallet positions and includes a state-of-the-art cold storage area.

The inauguration of the warehouse marks a significant step in Silal’s efforts to further enhance supply chain efficiency and boost food security in Abu Dhabi through innovative solutions.

It also aims to serve as a major food distribution hub and optimise transportation logistics through a 38-dock loading area.

This strategic announcement aligns with Silal’s wider objectives of further enhancing food distribution efficiency, expanding trade opportunities, and strengthening supply chain operations in Abu Dhabi.

The opening of the new warehouse facility also highlights Silal’s commitment to supporting local and global food networks by delivering cost-effective solutions to suppliers, retailers and stakeholders worldwide.

With its advanced technology, extensive re-export and repacking capabilities, and strategic location, the KEZAD warehouse facility positions Silal as a market leader capable of addressing potential supply chain disruptions and managing the evolving challenges of food distribution.
