In line with its strategy to promote local agri-food businesses internationally, Attica participated in the “Saudi Horeca” International Exhibition held in Riyadh from November 27 to 29, 2023.
Six innovative companies from the broader Attica region showcased their products, including extra virgin olive oil, honey, bagels, pistachios, and dairy products, at the Region’s stand .The primary objective was to connect and promote Attica’s local products as an integral part of Greek culture. To achieve this, a live cooking show was hosted in the booth for the first two days, featuring Chef Artemis Beblidaki, an executive member of the Acropolis Chef’s Club of Attica, preparing unique recipes for stand visitors.
The three-day event in Riyadh attracted over 300 exhibitors and welcomed more than 30,000 trade visitors and buyers worldwide. The six participating companies included “ELEA LAND” (olive oil), “KAKIAS S.A.” (dairy products), “MELOPOLIO” (honey), “STALIA” (olive oil), “AIGINA NUTS,” and “LEO’S BAGELS.”
As part of the Saudi Horeca activities, the Region of Attica organized an event at Radisson Blue Convention & Exhibition Centre. The Region Governor Mr. Georgios Patoulis extended a warm welcome to food industry professionals, media, influencers, importers, and others, aiming to showcase the outstanding products of exhibitors and highlight the diverse culinary treasures of Attica. Among the distinguished guests, the Ambassador of Greece to Saudi Arabia, Oman and Yemen, Mr. Alexis Konstantopoulos, also attended the event, adding to the international significance of the occasion.

Saudi Horeca, is the biggest annual hospitality exhibition which has been running in Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Riyadh and Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Nowadays, the annual trade fair has become an essential business meeting place for the hospitality, foodservice and beverage industries in Saudi Arabia.
