Fi Asia Thailand 2025 registration opens: Asia’s premier international event for food ingredients returns to Bangkok alongside Vitafoods Asia

Organisers expect record-breaking showcase of ingredient innovations from 17-19 September 2025

Registration is now open for Fi Asia Thailand 2025, as Asia’s premier international event for food ingredients prepares to return to Bangkok from 17-19 September 2025 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). The event brings together the Asian food and beverage industry’s key innovators and decision-makers, creating Asia’s largest gathering of ingredient buyers alongside Vitafoods Asia, with visitors enjoying free movement between both events.

Food and beverage professionals can now secure their place at the essential industry gathering, where exhibitors will showcase innovations dedicated to every aspect of food and drink formulation and manufacturing. The 2025 edition features prominent international suppliers such as KERRY, Ingredion, BRENNTAG, Lonza and IMCD, alongside established local brands including Food Ingredient Technology, Multitech Foods, Premium Foods and Yearrakarn.

Bangkok welcomes back Asia’s food ingredients powerhouse
Fi Asia’s return to Bangkok brings the event to the heart of Southeast Asia’s thriving food and beverage sector. Located on the ground floor of the QSNCC, the strategically positioned venue offers unparalleled accessibility for attendees from across Asia and beyond. Since 1996, Fi Asia has served as the region’s primary destination for emerging market opportunities, establishing itself as the undisputed leader in connecting ingredient suppliers with F&B manufacturers across Asia’s most dynamic economies.

“Fi Asia stands as the region’s premier international event for the food ingredients industry, serving as a melting pot of inspiration, education and innovation,” says Rose Chitanuwat, ASEAN Regional Group Director, Informa Markets Thailand. “Thailand’s food and beverage industry, one of the most advanced in Southeast Asia, provides an ideal location for businesses looking to establish themselves or grow in the region. This event offers a 360-degree perspective of Southeast Asia’s thriving food and beverage industry.”

Enhanced features address evolving market needs
Fi Asia Thailand 2025 introduces the A to C (Academic to Commercial) Interactive Showcase, connecting academic research with commercial applications. This innovative feature highlights breakthrough ingredient studies from Thai universities, showcasing discoveries poised to transform the food sector. Attendees can explore potential product developments and foster collaborations between researchers and business professionals, accelerating innovation from laboratory to marketplace.

The Innovation Zone, powered by Innova Market Insights, showcases cutting-edge new ingredients launched by leading players, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore innovations that are set to drive the next wave of industry transformation. Innovation Tours led by experts from Nutrimarketing provide curated, guided tours delivering focused, 1.5-hour deep dives into specific innovation topics across the show floor.

The comprehensive conference programme features four key tracks — Functional Food, Alternative Protein, Organic Food, and Medical and Personalised Food — delivering over 60 insightful sessions. These are hosted by more than 30 international and local associations, halal certification bodies, governments, market research agencies and universities, all showcasing ingredient trends shaping the future of food.

Adding to the innovation focus, the Fi Asia Startup Innovation Challenge returns for its 6th edition under the theme “The power of local ingredients”. The competition showcases innovative Thai SMEs and startups leveraging local ingredients, with distinguished judges from academia, financial institutions and venture capital firms evaluating participants based on innovation, commercial viability and environmental sustainability.

Market opportunities drive regional growth
The Asian food ingredients market represents one of the world’s most dynamic sectors, with robust growth projections driven by increasing health consciousness, rising demand for convenience foods and significant urbanisation across the region. Major economies across Asia have emerged as powerful food innovation hubs, making this the ideal time for international businesses to establish their presence across the continent.

Convergence creates new opportunities
The convergence of food and nutraceuticals represents a transformative trend taking centre stage at Fi Asia Thailand and its sister event, Vitafoods Asia 2025 which takes place at the same time in the QSNCC. This powerful partnership brings together Asia’s premier food ingredients exhibition with the region’s leading nutraceutical event, creating an unparalleled platform where the increasingly blurred boundaries between conventional foods and health-enhancing ingredients can be explored.

As consumer preferences shift toward preventative health approaches, manufacturers are responding with innovative products that deliver specific functional benefits while maintaining the enjoyment and convenience of traditional foods. Attendees will discover how “medical intelligence” is being incorporated into everyday products, explore the latest in functional foods that bridge nutrition and therapeutic benefits, and connect with suppliers addressing emerging consumer motivators like gut health, immunity and sustained energy.
