Husky leads circular packaging innovation at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024

Husky Technologies TM, a pioneering technology provider enabling the delivery of essential needs to the global community, has returned to exhibit at Gulfood Manufacturing 2024 taking place in Dubai, UAE from November 5-7. Husky’s booth, located in Hall 2, Stand B 2-4, highlights the company’s latest technologies, solutions, and services designed to enable the circular economy across the complete package lifecycle.

“The current dynamics in the global PET conversion industry – both upstream, with advancements in rPET, decarbonization, and decentralization, and downstream with developments in bottling, enhanced packaging capabilities, and democratization of water – present exciting new opportunities. We invite both existing customers, as well as emerging producers who are looking to enter the industry, to join us at Gulfood Manufacturing to share insights and explore how we can shape a more circular, sustainable future together,” said Wassim Labban, Vice President, Systems & Tooling, EEMEIA, SEA, ANZ.

To demonstrate this capability, at Gulfood Manufacturing Husky is showcasing its range of solutions to:

  • Enable Sustainability with technologies that support the production of high-quality packaging that is lighter weight, contains more rPET, or is made from bio-based materials.
  • Enable Growth by adopting world-class manufacturing processes that facilitate speed to market and streamline production.
  • Enable Innovation with industry-leading solutions that produce attractive, safe, and sustainable packaging that out-performs alternative materials and stands-out on store shelves.
  • Enable Resilience by helping producers implement practices to adapt more quickly to continuously changing consumer demands and market trends.

Advancing sustainability across the complete package lifecycle

As a sustainability pioneer, Husky has been at the forefront of developing circular solutions for decades. Some technology highlights the company will be demonstrating at Gulfood Manufacturing include:

  • Regional debut of the new HyPET®6e injection molding platform. Launched earlier this year, HyPET®6e integrates machine, mold, auxiliary, and real-time remote monitoring to set unprecedented standards in sustainable molding, including superior rPET capability, industry-leading energy efficiency, and closed-loop quality control, while still delivering the lowest total production cost. HyPET®6e is engineered to be the market’s fastest system achieving an ideal balance between high throughputs and quality without compromise.
  • Application design, development, and technology innovations that enable circular food and beverage packaging that is lightweight, contain high levels of rPET, is labeless, adopts Multi-Layer technology, is molded from bio-based materials, incorporates tethered closure designs, as well as new groundbreaking closures manufactured from 100% PET to facilitate mono-material packaging that streamlines the recycling process.
  • Onsite demonstration of the company’s Advantage+Eliteᵀᴹ remote monitoring program. This connected solution uses end-to-end, closed-loop reporting to leverage data and analytics, optimize operations, reduce waste, and improve overall equipment effectiveness, particularly when producing packaging containing higher percentages of recycled material. Also featured will be the company’s Advisory Services Program, providing expert consultation at all operating lifecycle stages, as well as the Hot Runner Care Program, for proactive maintenance and refurbishment.
