Get Ready for Cibus Tec 2026: More Exhibitors, More Global Connections

From October 27 to 30, Parma will once again host Cibus Tec, Italy’s leading platform for food and beverage technologies. Cibus Tec 2026 is shaping up to be bigger, more international, and more innovative than ever. Building on the record-breaking success of 2023, which welcomed over 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries and 40,000 professionals from more than 120 nations, this edition promises an even stronger presence of major companies and cutting-edge solutions.

The numbers already signal a significant expansion: exhibitor participation is up by 20%, total exhibition space has grown by 30%, and the international component is particularly impressive, with 48% more foreign companies and 38% more dedicated exhibition space. Such growth underlines Cibus Tec’s standing as a strategic hub for innovation in the food machinery and processing sector, attracting professionals and companies eager to explore trends shaping the future of food production.

Central to the event is the Top Buyers Program, the largest incoming initiative in the sector, organized in collaboration with Agenzia ICE – Italian Trade & Investment Agency and supported by the Emilia-Romagna Region. The program brings together decision-makers from over 80 countries, facilitating B2B meetings, technology scouting, and investment opportunities. In 2023, it hosted more than 3,000 international top buyers, and for 2026, the program has been further strengthened to connect exhibitors with global partners across strategic supply chains and emerging markets.

Innovation takes center stage across two dedicated areas. “Bakery? Yes, we tec!” debuts as a showcase of the most advanced technologies for the bakery sector, covering preparation, processing, automation, packaging, and end-of-line solutions. Leading companies such as Awema, Cake Concepts, Cepi, Fritsch, GEA, Handtmann, Rheon, Soren, Tanis Food Tec, and Tecnopool will present solutions designed to boost efficiency, quality, and product innovation. Meanwhile, “Beverage? Yes, we tec!” highlights the full technological chain of beverage production, from bottling to packaging, with a focus on sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart solutions. Confirmed participants include A DUE, Comac, Galdi, Krones, Matrix, Prismatech, Promec, Serac, SIG, Sipa, and Tetra Pak.

Beyond these vertical sectors, Cibus Tec 2026 offers a comprehensive view of the food supply chain, from fruit and vegetable processing, sauces, and condiments to dairy, meat, fish, ready meals, coffee, chocolate, and snacks. Cross-cutting technologies including automation, robotics, packaging, traceability, digitalization, food safety, energy efficiency, and sustainability, create an integrated ecosystem where productivity, quality, and innovation converge. Cibus Tec 2026 will also host World Pasta Day on October 27 and 28, promoted by Unione Italiana Food and the International Pasta Organization (IPO). This global event combines content and technology, focusing on evolving consumer trend, sustainability, production efficiency, and packaging innovation, bringing together industry, research, associations, and technology partners from across the world.

The international dimension is further reinforced through initiatives like “Cibus Tec for Africa,” promoting Made-in-Italy processing and packaging technologies across high-potential African markets and fostering commercial and industrial partnerships with local operators.Running in parallel to Cibus Tec, the second edition of Labotec, the trade fair dedicated to laboratory and analysis technologies and solutions, returns for its second edition, focusing on laboratory, research, and analysis technologies for all manufacturing sectors, including food and beverages. Together, the two events offer a unique, integrated perspective on industrial competitiveness, linking plant innovation with measurement, control, and certification.

From 2026, entry to both fairs will be free, making it easier than ever for professionals to engage with the latest technologies, meet international partners, and gain insights into the global food and beverage market.
