Combining culture and commerce with the help of artificial intelligence in a joint project of the Russian Export Center, FESCO and the Tretyakov Gallery

From classical art to modern-day products, Russia’s rich cultural heritage always finds new avenues to captivate global audiences. In a collaboration that unites art and commerce, the Russian Export Center, the FESCO Transport Group, and the State Tretyakov Gallery have launched a new project titled The Art of Export Logistics. This initiative aims to highlight the connection between Russian art and Russian export goods through the power of artificial intelligence.

As part of the project, cherished masterpieces from the State Tretyakov Gallery were reinterpreted with the power of AI, infusing these world-famous art pieces with Made in Russia export goods. This approach is based on the vision that Russian export goods are not simply about trade, but are part of a greater cultural exchange, bringing Russian soul and culture to the world similarly to how Russian artistry has traditionally captivated audiences worldwide.

Behind the project is a formidable team: the Russian Export Center (REC), known for expanding the reach of Russian goods under the Made in Russia brand; the State Tretyakov Gallery, a world-famous gallery renowned for its extensive collection of Russian fine art and commitment to promoting Russia’s artistic legacy; and the FESCO Transport Group, a key player in Russia’s transport and logistics sector.

Five transformative art pieces have emerged from this collaboration, each serving as a bridge between classical art and contemporary export products. The paintings are accompanied by a video that walks the viewer through a virtual gallery of AI-created masterpieces and showcases its relevance to export logistics.

The first piece, inspired by Ivan Shishkin’s pastoral masterpiece Herd under the Trees, depicts a joyous family picnic amidst a herd of cows grazing on a meadow. Continuing the theme of a cow herd, the family’s picnic features Russian milk products.

The second painting makes a callback to Stanislav Zhukovsky’s Easter Still-Life. In this piece, a happy mother and her small child are enjoying the candy and treats shown in the original painting, accompanied by Made in Russia chocolate that can be found in the catalogue of Russian export goods.

The third piece, titled Grandma’s Garden, is based on Isaac Levitan’s Blossoming Apple Trees. The viewer can see a smiling Russian grandmother surrounded by an apple orchard; her rich apple harvest is accompanied by a traditional Russian dessert made from fruits and berries.

In the fourth artwork, Vasily Perov’s The Hunters Take a Break is adapted to our modern-day reality, with the resting hunters replaced by a group of modern-day youth enjoying BBQ with juicy Russian steaks.

The fifth and final piece references Isaac Levitan’s serene landscape The Lake. It showcases a young man resting on a peaceful lake shore, enjoying the tranquility with Russian bottled water in hand.

Each of these art pieces represents a unique expression of Russian identity and creativity, offering a glimpse into the nation’s cultural heritage. To learn more about the project and its connection to Russian export goods, visit https://goodfoodrussia.com/ru/special/
