SACMI Packaging & Chocolate at Ipack-Ima 2025, sustainable solutions for responsible packaging

From 27 to 30 May at FieraMilano, the focus will be on sustainable packaging with innovative technologies that combine efficiency, energy saving and compatibility with new wrapping materials.

Sustainable, versatile, scalable. This is the packaging of the future: and SACMI Packaging & Chocolate will be presenting it at Ipack-Ima 2025 (FieraMilano – Rho, 27-30 May 2025), together with a full range of chocolate preparation, moulding and packaging solutions, plus everything to meet your primary and secondary packaging needs.
The topic of sustainability in packaging is set to play a central role at the 25th international packaging & processing fair. Visitors to the SACMI Packaging & Chocolate exhibition area (Hall 1 – Stand A105) will have a great opportunity to explore an entire family of innovative technologies that combine manufacturing efficiency, energy saving and compatibility with eco-sustainable wrapping materials.

HTB Wrapping Machine: the sustainability champion

The recipient of Schneider Electric’s Sustainability Award, the HTB represents a paradigm shift in chocolate tablet packaging. This machine can reach speeds of up to 250 packs/minute and has an outstanding ability to work with eco-sustainable wrapping materials, even latest-generation ones.
The secret? A revolutionary mechatronic architecture with 40 independent drives allows for ultra-precise, delicate movement control. What’s more, the motors can recover braking energy to power those in acceleration, resulting in intelligent energy management.
The outcome: measurable, tangible sustainability, integrated into the very heart of the machine, reducing consumption by up to 40% compared to a conventional solution.

ACTIVE, the compact tri-function packaging unit

ACTIVE is a compact monobloc machine that forms, fills and closes three-flap boxes. Its design optimizes both dimensions and components, making it ideal for installation in small spaces or in existing plants.
The small footprint also means lower environmental impact. ACTIVE, in fact, is built using few materials, consumes less energy and can be delivered quickly thanks to mass production and modular components.
The perfect choice, then, for those pursuing smart, sustainable secondary packaging on medium- and low-speed production operations.

VPS 40C – Versatility and green materials for ‘planet-friendly’ packaging

The VPS 40C vertical packaging machine is designed for the food and non-food industries. Constructed entirely of stainless steel, easy to clean and maintain (thanks to its open frame design), this vertical packaging machine is ultra-reliable and delivers output rates as high as 120 packages/minute.

From a sustainability perspective, its greatest strength is flexible management of wrapping materials such as compostable films, monolayer, barrier paper, polypropylene and sustainable laminates. The ability to support different packaging styles – from classic pillow to stabilo – ensure manufacturers can adapt to the requirements of even the most demanding brands.
