What Makes a Thai Dish Truly Authentic?

The UAE is about to step into a culinary journey unlike any other. This November, the vibrant spirit of Thailand comes alive as Thai SELECT launches “Tastes of Thailand: The Road to the Festival”—a dynamic pre-festival digital campaign designed to spotlight the UAE’s most authentic Thai dining destinations ahead of the 2nd Thai SELECT Festival 2025.

A global certification issued by the Ministry of Commerce the Royal Thai Government to guarantee the authentic Thai taste of Thai food, Thai SELECT is awarded only to restaurants that deliver genuine Thai flavors, traditional techniques, and the warm hospitality Thailand is known for. This year, these celebrated restaurants step into the spotlight as the UAE prepares for one of the region’s most anticipated cultural food festivals.

A Culinary Trail Created for the UAE

From 18–27 November 2025, the UAE becomes a stage for a digital tasting trail.
More than 30+ influencers in food, travel, and lifestyle will visit Thai SELECT–certified restaurants across the Emirates, capturing signature dishes, chef stories, Thai décor, and the authentic experience behind each restaurant’s certification.

Each visit will reveal:

  • A hero dish showcasing true Thai flavors
  • A cultural touchpoint, be it a chef’s heritage, a traditional recipe, or décor inspired by Thai craftsmanship
  • A teaser moment leading up to the Thai SELECT Festival
  • A unified call to follow the trail through #RoadToThaiSELECTFestival2025

Celebrating Culture, Community & Authenticity

More than just a campaign, this initiative strengthens cultural bridges between the UAE and Thailand. By inviting the public to explore Thai SELECT restaurants first, the campaign deepens appreciation for Thai cuisine before everyone gathers at the festival.

“These restaurants reflect the true taste of Thailand,” says Mr. Pitichai Ratananaka, Director of Thai Trade Center Dubai (DITP).

“Through this campaign, we aim to bring people on a journey of authentic Thai flavors leading up to the festival. This initiative not only showcases the excellence of our certified restaurants across the UAE but also strengthens cultural ties and highlights Thailand’s culinary soft power. We invite everyone to follow the journey, enjoy our cuisine, and join us at the Thai SELECT Festival 2025.”

The Festival Awaits

The trail leads to the grand celebration:
