Festa Holdings acquires Piñata Foods

Festa Holdings, LLC announced the acquisition of Pinata Foods, Inc. (dba Festa Food Company), a clean label frozen food manufacturer based in Cleveland, Ohio on November 12th, 2025. The acquisition brings together complementary capabilities in private label manufacturing, co-packing, and medically tailored meal production.

Founded in 1993 by Tim Fagan, Pinata Foods began as a private label and co-packing manufacturer of tortillas and burritos. After putting the first burrito in space in 1999, the company evolved into a clean ingredient, nutritionally dense, flexible manufacturing facility producing a full line of breakfast and entrée meals, along with great tasting, healthy handheld foods and burritos.

Michael Needler Jr., founder of MSN Companies and former Chairman and CEO of Fresh Encounter, led the acquisition for Festa Holdings, LLC and serves as its chairman. Needler explained, “For over a quarter-century, Tim and the Fagan family have worked tirelessly to create a forward-facing company that helped pioneer the mainstream adoption of high-quality frozen foods. We believe this company is poised for growth and continued expansion into the emerging food-as-medicine segment by providing delicious tasting, highest quality medically tailored meals that support healthy lifestyles and proactive nutritional chronic disease management.”

In addition to its private label and co-packing capabilities, the company has been providing medically tailored meals to some of the nation’s leading providers and will continue to evolve in that segment by adding a direct-to-consumer business in 2026. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
